How to Use
Step 1 — Enter the Total
Type the value you want to split in the Total field (e.g., 1000).
Step 2 — Set the Ratios
- Individual: Enter each ratio value in its own input box. Use the + button to add more (up to 20).
- Batch Text: Type all ratio values at once, separated by spaces (e.g.,
1 2 3). Supports up to 100 values.
Step 3 — Choose a Rounding Method
- None (decimal): Shows exact decimal results
- Round down: Always rounds each part down (floor)
- Round (nearest): Standard rounding to the nearest integer
- Round up: Always rounds each part up (ceil)
Step 4 — Calculate

What is proportional allocation?
Proportional allocation (also called pro rata distribution) means dividing a total amount according to a fixed ratio. For example, splitting a 10,000 expense at a 3:5:2 usage ratio gives 3,000, 5,000, and 2,000. Enter the total and the ratio, and this calculator performs the same allocation instantly.
Why doesn’t the sum match the total after rounding?
When round down, round, or round up is applied, the sum of the parts may differ slightly from the original total. The difference is shown below the results, so you can add it to or subtract it from one of the items when exact totals matter, such as in accounting.
Can I use it for weighted bill splitting?
