A free tool that builds a tournament bracket (knockout chart) just by typing in the names of the participants. Odd numbers are handled automatically with seeds (BYEs), and you can advance each match with a single click. From the draw to saving the result as an image, everything is done right here.

How to use
- Enter participants: In the text area on the left, type one participant name per line.
- Set the options:
- Auto shuffle: Randomly reorders the names.
- 3rd place match: Adds a match between the two semifinal losers.
- Layout: Choose horizontal (best on desktop) or vertical (best on mobile).
- Create button: Press “Create Bracket” to draw the chart.
- Decide each match: Click a match card to pick the winner and advance to the next round.
- Save the image: The finished bracket can be saved as an image.
FAQ
- Q. How many participants are supported?
- A. There is no upper limit. With 2 or more participants, the tool automatically builds a bracket of the best size (4, 8, 16, …) for the number of entries.
- Q. Can I use an odd number of participants (3, 5, 6, …)?
- A. Yes. Any shortfall from a power of two is handled automatically as a seed (BYE) so the knockout chart stays balanced.
- Q. Can the matchups be drawn at random?
- A. Turn on “Auto shuffle” to randomly reorder your input and decide the matchups. Turn it off if you want to keep the order fixed.
- Q. Can I save the bracket I made?
- A. You can download it as a PNG image with “Save Image”. The names you enter and the match progress are saved automatically in your browser and restored on your next visit.
- Q. Can I use it on a phone? Can I make a vertical bracket?
- A. It works on phones and tablets. Choose “Vertical (bottom to top)” under “Layout direction” to automatically build a vertical bracket that is easy to read on a phone screen.
