How to use the timer
What is the Pomodoro Technique?
It is a time-management method that alternates focused work with short breaks. A common starting point is 25 minutes of work followed by 5 minutes of rest, but you can choose any durations that suit you.
Start, pause, and resume
Choose work and break durations and the number of work sessions, then select Start. The expanded timer opens automatically. Close it to return to the page; the timer keeps running, and you can reopen it with Expand timer. Use Stop to pause and Resume to continue.
Add a task
Enter the task you want to focus on. Its name will appear prominently in the expanded timer to help you keep your attention on one task.
Choose an alert sound
Choose a chime, gong, or no sound for session changes, then adjust the volume. Your sound settings are saved in this browser for your next visit.
